Macu Pastor is the founder, director and teacher of ..INTER.. pathway to Spanish. She was born and raised in Cocentaina and has spent years welcoming students from over 40 countries into her school — and into her community. Her teaching is personal, flexible and grounded in real everyday Spanish, not just textbook exercises.

As an official DELE examiner for Instituto Cervantes, Macu understands the full spectrum of Spanish language learning — from your very first "¡Hola!" to exam-level proficiency. But her proudest moments are simpler: the students who call her to say they finally ordered food in a Spanish restaurant without thinking twice.

Do I need any Spanish to start?
Not at all. Macu's A1 Beginner course starts from absolute zero. She runs a free placement chat before you arrive to make sure you join exactly the right group.
What are your opening hours?
For information and enrolment: Monday to Friday, 9:30–13:30 and 16:30–19:00. Classes are held both in the mornings and afternoons to suit your schedule.
Does Macu teach all classes herself?
Yes — every class is taught personally by Macu. This is not a large commercial school. When you enrol at ..INTER.. pathway to Spanish, you study with Macu. That is the whole point.
How do I get to Cocentaina?
Fly to Alicante Airport (ALC) — one of Europe's best-connected airports. A direct bus to Alcoy takes about 50 minutes, and Cocentaina is just 10 minutes from there. Macu can advise on transport.
Is a certificate provided?
Yes. All students receive a certificate showing level, hours and progress. Macu is also an official DELE examiner — you can sit your official Instituto Cervantes certification with her.
